Michael Darcy, Sales & Marketing Manager, has key responsibility for the overall management of the sales and marketing operation on a day-to-day basis. He liaises with publishers in relation to sales materials, financial administration and sales reporting, and attendance at sales meetings, and co-ordinates visits to wholesale, high-street, campus bookshop, and library supply accounts around the country. He is also responsible for overseeing the academic calling programme to all major third-level institutions in Ireland. Michael joined Brookside in 2004 from Waterstones’ Dawson Street, Dublin branch where he worked for several years variously as an academic bookseller, Front-of-Store Manager and Corporate & Library Sales Manager.
Stephen Reid, Sales Representative, visits key bookshop accounts around the island, across both trade and academic lists. He also co-ordinates academic calling schedules and campaigns. Stephen joined Brookside in 2018, and also is an editor for New Island Books.
Edwin Higel, Managing Director, has overall responsibility for the general and financial management as well as staff supervision. Edwin provides a wealth of experience and specialist knowledge in all aspects of trade, academic and professional publishing built up over a 35-year period.
